Live Band Sessions

Step into the world of live music! Over three days, young people aged 11–16 will come together to learn new musical skills or build on the ones they already have. Working with others in a real band setting, you’ll develop your confidence, creativity, and performance skills — from playing in time and understanding song structure to stage presence, improvisation, and collaboration across genres.

Choose your role — drums, keys, guitar, bass, vocals, or digital performance — and help shape your band’s unique sound. Not a performer? You can also take charge of lights, sound, or filming to bring the show to life.

The sessions finish with a live mini performance for family and friends — a celebration of everything you’ve learned and created together.

These sessions are led by professional music tutors and university tutors.

At the end of the sessions, if you have attended them all you will receive a professional recording of the live mini performance.

A hot meal will also be provided each afternoon, this will be the latter part of the afternoon so please ensure young people have had their lunch before they arrive.
